Name: Marius de Vos

Ward: Ward 32, Ekurhuleni

My name is Marius de Vos, and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 32 Candidate in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).

I am standing as a Ward Councillor in order to ensure uninterrupted service delivery in the ward, to work with all stakeholders towards achieving a hygienic environment to live and play, to ensure a safe environment through crime reduction, and alleviate unemployment through investment and job creation.

I am well known in my ward for the councillor that does not give up until a matter is resolved. My future vision for the ward is to do more for my constituency and to bring uninterrupted service delivery.

I have a solid relationship with Rotary International Boksburg Lake branch in the ward and liaise with Lions Roundtable club in Parkdene. I am chairperson of the Eastrand Rugby Club and club representative to the Valke Rugby Union.

I hold an Honours Degree in Public Administration HonsBPA (Economics and Politics of Local government). I am a teacher by profession. I am a democrat that embraces liberal views. I love my family for they have kept me going through the most difficult of times over the past 5 years.
