Name: Joelene Mthethwa

Ward: Ward 29, Ekurhuleni

My name is Joelene Mthethwa, and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 29 Candidate in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).

I am standing as a Ward Councillor to continue the fight for change in order to improve the lives of residents in the community.

The Ward experiences major issues relate to illegal dumping, major sewage overflows particularly in the hostel, and the reblocking of Emandleni.

My vision for the Ward is to have a community that is clean and functional with increased economic development to create employment, especially for the youth.

I am very socially active in the community through a number of service delivery Whatsapp groups. I also run a soup kitchen that serves the community.

I am a people’s person and always ready to assist residents. I am approachable and have a passion for getting things done.
