Name: Ashley Nyaniso

Ward: Ward 26, Ekurhuleni

My name is Ashley Nyaniso, and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 26 Candidate in Ekurhuleni.

I am standing as a Ward Councillor because I believe in the DA’s policy for freedom, fairness, and opportunity. My passion is to serve and bring change into my community.

I want to drive the following issues in Ward 26: the electrification of informal settlements, water and sanitation challenges, and criminality.

My vision for the ward is to see the youth empowered; both socially and economically. I want to spearhead programmes that will create jobs and alleviate poverty in the community.

I intend on building solid relationships with members of the Ward 26 community to better understand their needs. I am a dedicated community leader; a team player and I am ready to serve.

When I am not engaging with the people on the ground, I spend my time singing in the community choir, which is one of the best choirs in the City of Ekurhuleni.
