The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Ekurhuleni would like to congratulate Ald Tania Campbell, as the newly elected Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni.
Ald Campbell’s election followed the election of Cllr Raymond Dhlamini as the Speaker of Council.
Ald Campbell’s election comes at a time where residents and businesses across Ekurhuleni are calling for change and, calling to get things done. This starts today!
Today, various political parties voted for a credible, capable government and chose to vote for the DA.
Ald Campbell brings a wealth of experience and drives to get things done. During this term, the DA will bring re-energised ambition to the CoE, to improve the lives of all residents, who for too long have suffered under the ANC.
Ald Campbell has been a councillor for the City, since 2000. Under her leadership, the City will be committed to renewing our pledge to the communities we serve.
We will not waiver on our democratic principles and values. As the Executive Mayor, “I thank my caucus for once again entrusting me with the confidence to lead.’’ Together, we will strive for better service delivery and clean governance, the very foundation of the values of the Democratic Alliance” said Ald Campell.
We wish her all the best in her role as Mayor and be the shining example of what is possible when people embrace the DA’s core governing principles.
